Found My Spark

I had a great week off from blogging.

I didn’t plan to never blog again. I just didn’t want to feel obligated to any sort of blogging schedule.

I want to be able to write something interesting and not just complain about my pain!

And…then I spent the majority of this weekend in pain again. Ugh.

I was able to go to one of the two birthday parties I had wanted to attend! So that’s progress?

Okay, still bummed that I wasn’t able to make it to both. But I’m trying to focus on the positive.

Unfortunately Aubrey’s and my camera was set to the wrong setting so all of the pictures I ended up with are weirdly lighted and really blurry.

They still tell a fun story. Just don’t look too closely at them, k?

Well, to begin, the birthday girl wasn’t that into her party.

But apparently video games are awesome!?

She’s nine now, so it doesn’t matter if Auntie Amber wants to talk to her.

Um, VIDEO. GAME. Don’t you get it?

The other kids (not sure where Mason was) had just as much fun blowing up balloons before the party began.

Balloons are the bomb. Just ask any kid.

Okay, except Mara. Don’t ask her.

I did learn that Reagan is pro-tree. Well, pro-eating-trees.

Broccoli equals tree is toddler speak, if you didn’t know.

Present time! The theme was Disney. I don’t know if everyone planned it that way or if it just ended up that everything she got was related to the Disney franchise.

Auntie Amber and Uncle Aubrey always lose on the present front when it comes to a birthday party. We usually take the kids to the store on their actual birthday to pick out whatever they want. During the parties we always look like cheapskates who couldn’t spring for a thing.

But we don’t matter anyway.

Although I do have to mention how much Mara loved the cross necklace that Granny got her.

The girl really is a big sweetheart. I just have to pick on her because she’s growing into a tween so quickly.

Now…don’t get any older! I’m not ready for it.
