Time flies way too quickly.

As of Saturday this girl is now another year old.

I'm NINE!!!!!!!!!

Dang kids, they just don’t listen when you say not to grow up so fast.

I was feeling absolutely horrible that day (I swear if intestines weren’t necessary I’d opt to have mine removed), but I did want to make sure she had a great day.

Uncle Aubrey and I hung out with the youngest three so she could have some alone time with mommy. They went to see a movie and…I’m not actually sure what all they did. I just know that I asked her if I should hang out with her siblings every year so she can get some alone time and she said “YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!”

So I’m guessing she had fun?

But that was Saturday. Today and tomorrow represent an entirely different celebration.

10 years ago Aubrey asked me to be his girlfriend.

You are stuck with me now!

We always celebrate on both New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day because it felt like NYE since we were still awake. But technically it was NYD because it was around 2am.

I am perfectly okay with taking two days to celebrate this milestone.

We’ve always celebrated both our wedding anniversary and our dating anniversary. Does everyone do this? Probably not. But we have the added benefit of our dating anniversary falling on a holiday, so it has never seemed weird to me.

Whatever you’re doing tonight and tomorrow, I hope it is enjoyable and safe.

Remember that if you drink too much you can always look up designated drivers.

And be careful on the roads in general! Holidays bring out all the crazies.

Not my kind of crazy, the…other kind. ;)
